PEAK Series: Julia Keefe Indigenous Big Band

Description

Join the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County for an elegant evening of world-class jazz featuring the Julia Keefe Indigenous Big Band.

Julia Keefe is an internationally acclaimed Native American singer and actor who has shared the spotlight with legendary icons like Tony Bennett, Bonnie Raitt, and Esperanza Spalding. Her brilliant flagship project serves a distinct cultural mission: a vibrant celebration of Indigenous vitality in jazz. This ensemble honors the profound legacy of musical pioneers—such as Coeur d'Alene jazz icon Mildred Bailey—while masterfully pushing the boundaries of modern jazz into bold, brassy territory rich with poetic allusions and deep lyrical riffs.

PEAK performances are made possible by a grant from the MLDauray Arts Initiative in honor of Leonard and Sophie Davis.
